The morning mocha paired perfectly with the pastries and the chicken sandwich, all packed with great taste and very filling. The serving sizes are generous and the pricing feels reasonable for the quality offered. It was a really enjoyable visit and we are looking forward to returning to sample more from the menu.

This place is a hidden gem in downtown Palo Alto. Very cool vibe and I always enjoy the various and different croissants, especially with a chocolate (Like it is said, "Life is Pain au chocolat! haha). Chef Julien's sandwiches taste very good and fresh, too. I wouldn't always hesitate to explore different sandwiches from here, too. This is a place I always recommend my friends to come join me, or recommend a place to go when they visit Palo Alto! :)

Wow. This is a find. In from out of town. This would be the reason I’d move out here. The food is so fresh. The avacado flavor - potato’s - fruit. Oh my heavens. I’m in heaven.

Ordered on Doordash and my croque monsieur was just about ready when we arrived. It gave me time to order an americano and matcha latte. Spent about $30 for everything. The sandwich is packed generously with ham and the cheese was done to perfection as a crust on top. My husband and I demolished it before we got to Ikea. Coffee is well done. The cafe itself is decorated well and a great spot to do some work or chat. The lady/owner? Was very nice and patient while trying to decide on my drinks.

The Redwood is a secret gem in downtown Palo Alto. I'm a sandwich for lunch guy, and what I've loved about the several that I've had is that Chef Julien takes excellent base components -- like bread/rolls, meat, cheese and veggies -- and adds extras that make it taste especially good. My wife is a soup and salad person and she's always been very happy with her food. We're so grateful that a friend turned us on to the place. I'm addition, we recently had Chef Julien cater a dinner for us. He was especially thoughtful to manage the menu around dietary restrictions of guests. Everyone loved the meal, from start to finish.

I checked this place out on a whim and a desire to bike over to Palo Alto. They are located in the Avenidas, a senior service village. It was a to-go order and we arrived at closing time (3pm), but there was a genial environment. It took a minute for the staff to figure out how to help us, since we ordered through an app. We got a prosciutto, artichoke, peach salad and a cinnamon roll. The salad was packed with a good variety of fresh ingredients. Besides those mentioned above, there were grape tomatoes, burrata cheese, sunflower seeds, and plenty of greens. Best salad I've had in a long time.

It is good to have a spot in Palo Alto that is not pricey with good quality food. Well, the mocha I got is not as creamy as I expected. So my first reaction about food is not brilliant. However, when I ate that breakfast croissant, it is the game changer. The eggs are fluffy, the croissant is crispy with many layers like what good croissants should have. I love how it is flavor with sweet onion jam (compote?). It makes this one of the best breakfast croissants I have. The cafe itself looks new and clean, and it is nice to see the chef around, serving and asking us how food is. This is a place worth visiting. And I think you now know what to order :)

Amazing breakfast burrito and croque monsieur. Chocolate croissant is also delicious! We can’t wait to try other menus. Good price and big portion. There is a big parking space right across the street and it is attached to some kind of senior center.
